Inspired by "The Free Black Women's Library," a monthly mobile library pop-up organized by Ola Ronke in NYC, the Hawaii Free Women of Color Library Pop-Up & Retreat is an all-community book exchange and mini retreat highlighting Black and women of color authors and entrepreneurs. The book exchange is "take a book, leave a book" style, so bring a title by a Black woman or woman of color to share!
The mission of our event is to support the free exchange of knowledge, while lifting underrepresented voices and narratives.

Explore with reverence and caution. *There is a naturally flowing stream on location, bring SWIMWEAR! *This is a family-friendly event, with specific programming for the keiki! *ALL ARE WELCOME! Additionally, this event WILL be highlighting Black female authors and entrepreneurs - special space is given to support Black women. *This event is a safe space for women & femmes, gender non conforming and trans folks, as well as all other LGBTQIA+ identified individuals.
