Calabash Circle
This enrichment program for youth ages 3-14 brings Black keiki together to learn from knowledgeable elders, cultural practitioners, and professionals from our community. Thinking of the ʻumeke of Hawaiʻi and the calabash gourds of the African diaspora, we invite children and their families into the circle to learn and share as they make connections across the community.
Our Space
Our youth-led initiative builds community for Black youth in Hawaiʻi, fostering life-long learning and excellence and supporting their development as leaders. Geared toward high school and college-aged young people ages 15 to 21, Our Space connects youth with each other, adult mentors, and with kuelana to our community.
