The Honolulu African American Film Festival returns for its eighth installment with a selection of films that highlight the diversity of experiences of love, resistance, and hope across the African diaspora.
The opening reception will be on Saturday, February 16 at 6pm and the Hawaiʻi premiere of Miles Davis: Birth of the Cool screens at 7:30pm.
The festival line-up will include the following films: Miles Davis: Birth of the Cool with special guest producer Nicole London, 21 and Done with special guest director Kiara C. Jones, Liyana, Mr. SOUL!, and If Beale Street Could Talk.
